Gus Wiggle, FRMN Gus Wiggle is a highly respected Nigerian insurance and risk management leader with more than 34 years of industry experience. He is the President of the Risk Managers Society of Nigeria (RIMSON) and Managing Director of WJE Integrated Resources Ltd, a logistics and pipeline construction company. Before this, he was Managing Director of Linkage Assurance Plc, where he oversaw the company’s turnaround and merger, and earlier held senior management roles at Central Insurance, Financial Assurance, BAICO Insurance, and WAPIC Insurance. He has contributed extensively to professional governance, serving on the Council of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN), the Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA), and on boards including Stanbic IBTC Insurance Brokers and Stanbic IBTC Insurance Ltd as an Independent Non-Executive Director. Academically, Wiggle holds a degree in Insurance, is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (London), and has attended executive programs at Lagos Business School, IESE Barcelona, Chicago Booth, Kellogg School of Management, and the Swiss Insurance Training Centre in Zurich. As RIMSON President, he has championed the institutionalization of risk management in Nigeria’s governance, calling for the creation of a National Risk Management Office to address recurring socio-economic and environmental risks. He has also been vocal on issues of insurance trust, actuarial capacity, disaster preparedness, agricultural modernization through digital tools, climate resilience, and proactive risk planning for national stability. Widely recognized for his vision and leadership, Wiggle continues to be one of the foremost advocates of embedding enterprise risk management into Nigeria’s economic development and policy framework.
