Engr. Jacob Adeosun, FRMN

Engr. Jacob Taiye Adeosun, FRMN Engr. Adeosun is a distinguished engineer and risk management professional with over four decades of experience across engineering, insurance, and enterprise risk. A graduate of the University of Ife (1980), he further trained in the UK, USA, and earned professional diplomas in insurance and risk management from London institutions. He began his career as a Production/Operations Engineer with Mobil Producing Nigeria before moving into senior technical roles in engineering and later founding Industrial Risks Protection Consultants (IRPC), part of the Marsh Group, providing risk engineering, insurance, and disaster recovery services across oil & gas, power, telecoms, and manufacturing. Engr. Adeosun is a Past President of the Risk Managers Society of Nigeria (RIMSON) and the Risk Surveyors Association of Nigeria (RISAN). He has advised government and industry on disaster prevention, emergency response, and insurance for recurrent national risks, including tanker explosions and market fires. He is also the author of Risk Management and Other Professions (2015) and has delivered over 25 papers on risk, safety, and insurance. Widely respected for blending engineering insight with risk expertise, he is recognized as a leading voice in advancing professional risk management practice in Nigeria.
